Fill the PIG, Feel Better – YOUTH Champions
My name is Sevin Davies. I am 15 years old and attend Blessed Trinity Secondary School. In 2018, I founded a fundraising organization in support of Pathstone Mental Health. For the past 4 years, some friends and I have been volunteering and fundraising in the community. 2 of these friends are Duncan McDonald, and Adia Binfield, who are also ambassadors for this year’s annual Fill the Pig, Feel better campaign. My team and I have raised over $45,000 for Pathstone through the sale of our clothing and fundraising campaigns. You can check us out on our Instagram page @mane7.18, and don’t be scared to like, follow, and share our page. This year fundraising for Meridian’s fill the pig will be different. It will be a challenge filling the pig this year so we need your help! Make sure to help us out by filling the virtual pig and supporting kids in Niagara!
Hi, my name is Adia Binfield. I’m 15, and I’m a youth ambassador for Pathstone’s 3rd annual Fill the Pig, Feel Better Campaign in partnership with Meridian Credit Union. You might recognize me along with my friends Sevin Davies and Duncan Macdonald as we make up the Mane Event Team. The Mane Event Team has raised over $45,000 over the past 3 years for Pathstone Mental Health and we are back to help Meridian Credit Union with the Fill the Pig, Feel Better Piggy Bank Campaign. I wanted to be a part of this campaign because it feels wonderful to be able to help others in need. Ever since COVID has hit, it’s been tough raising money for the kids in our community that need support, and this Fill the Pig Campaign is great to be able to fundraise. It’s important that we keep going as people have never needed it more than now, and no amount is too small.
Hello, My Name is Wesley, I currently attend the DSBN Academy. My interest is computers, and I joined this campaign because I recently learned that 1 in 5 kids are affected by mental health issues, and I would love to help in any way I can to help that one kid who needs it.
I want to be part of this campaign for my uncle Malcolm. We lost him one year ago on Jan 19th. After he died, me and my GG came across the Fill the Pig, Feel Better Piggy Bank Campaign that Pathstone was putting on to raise money for child and youth mental health and we decided to participate because me and my uncle Malcolm both have mental illnesses. By collecting money, I was told I would get to help with it and I was super excited. I wanted to honour my uncle so the name of my pig is Malcolm.
